I Am Weak

I wrote my heart within these words
so saddest of any lines.
I can write my heart within this night
when I stared into my heart
and kissed the shadows of those
once there and how I could never
love those who once stood there.

i am weak.

And tonight besides the cold
I feel the fire of many lives
and now by time and circumstance
I cry knowing that life is short
and  when I know I have lost her
there be this lost pain I fear
remains forever.

i am weak.
