I Am The Resurrection And The Life - John 11: 17-25

Jesus speaks truth personally here
of Himself there is surely no doubt
rising from the dead He certainly did
this His gospel powerfully is all about

This is the life full of all that's eternal
compared with earthly life down here
why would anyone want to stay on earth?
if they could they're life be full of fear

Jesus is the resurrection from death
for He did die breathing a final breath
but God raised His son to life as He would
this the eternal son of God to never see death

Believing on God's son is so important
for in believing in Christ you are His
living the life that's only found in Christ
this is such a blessed resurrection bliss

What a picture this all conveys
displaying His great love on His elect
Jesus cries I am the resurrection and life
His own know they owe a great debt

("Now when Jesus came, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb four days. 18 Bethany was near Jerusalem, about two miles[c] off, 19 and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary to console them concerning their brother. 20 So when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary remained seated in the house. 21 Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 22 But even now I know that whatever you ask from God, God will give you.” 23 Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” 24 Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection on the last day.” 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life.[d] Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live,")
