I AM THE HAND
I am the hand that pressed clay soft
beneath the sun where rivers cross
I drew the line, I marked the sign
and civilization called it mine.
I am the hand that stacked the brick
ziggurats rising slow and thick
step by step I reached the skies
to speak with gods through human eyes.
I am the hand that carved the law
on tablets firm without a flaw
I bound the chaos, shaped the land
with order flowing from my hand.
