I Am the Eagle
I am the eagle
Soaring across the sky,
Far below I see
The river that you cry.
Towering mountains
Mysteriously loom ahead,
Reminding me of the words
I might have left unsaid.
I am the eagle
Flying high above,
Sending down to you
My deepest love.
The evening shadows
Cast an eerie gloom,
But it’s only my presence
That fills the room.
The wind in my face
Is cool and strong,
And I am touched by the beauty
That sings like a song.
My spirit surrounds you
Every time and everywhere,
I’m not really gone
I’ll always be there.
.
I’m the gentle rain
Dancing on the roof,
I’m the quiet sound
Of a prancing hoof.
I’m the pot of gold
At the rainbow’s end,
I’m the peaceful stranger
Who becomes your new friend.
Higher and faster
The spirit of the eagle flies,
Fearlessly watching you
With piercing eyes.
I am the eagle
He taught how to fly,
He chose me for a reason
So please don’t cry.
