This poem is my direct interpretation of everyday love that you can experience. Think about the connections for a moment that you have with someone you see everyday on your way to work. Perhaps it's a caregiver at your child's daycare. Someone that looks after and loves your child every single day when you drop them off to go to work. Then one day your child becomes old enough that they start school. You never develop a interpersonal love relationship with this person but nonetheless you feel love for what they've done for you and who they are as a human being. However your interaction with them has run its course no longer are they a requirement in your everyday life. Both parties move on respectfully but perhaps there's a degree of emptiness in not seeing that person every morning for 3 to 5 minutes. Hence the prison that love can create. Apply this to someone you see at your local coffee shop do you have an interaction with them daily. Never really get to know them on an interpersonal level but still have deep discussions with them that result in a loving admiration. Then one day they switch jobs. Though there was never any direct connection you still miss that person the everyday non-toxic love that's all around us.
Hide and seek the darkness, concealed tightly within my light
Deeply veiled my calling card, invisible the ink with which I write
Love's not all lost, carrying you with me, please hold on
It's spawned, not neglecting, what I've held is not gone
Orange was never meant to be your color
Replacing you, there will be no other
There's nowhere to hide I will not leave your side
Open your third eye, just swallow your pride
Live, or die, I am still willing to be your ride
The cell to which I live in is three feet wide
