The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

I Am Still But Me

I am still but me
And you are only you
Belief is just a state of mind
A crutch to walk by
When its light you find
You afre just a silly blind

Don't you know we are mortals
And survival is uncertain
While certain is time
That drags us flesh sagging
Into dust
When your pretense ceases
You will be awake
In a lake of dust
Pain free though bitten
By glad and hungry worms
Deaf to your mute complaints
And still
I shall have loved you in vain
Separated
By the figment of the brain.

I am still but me
And you are only you
Believing you are
Everything you want to be
All that you could become
Through
Yoiur tragedy of me.
