I Am Ready

I am not who I was.
I am not who I need to be.
Brown locks framed my lively flesh,
Dreams and desires glimmered in the shine of my eyes.
Today is my last day.
Hidden tears surround my eye,
I accept fateful departure.

What a sad poem you have written, it is beautiful in its brevity and choice of words. I hope you will post more poems, meaning: I do NOT hope this is your last poem.... Welcome to PoetrySoup.
