I Am Proud of My Friend
i am proud of my friend
she has found her soulmate
i congratulate her and shake her new husband's hand
i will miss how things used to be
however, life is just the way it is, and i must continue my living
i am proud of my friend
i wiped her tears when she was so frigidly betrayed
i took her hands and prayed with her
i took her hands and prayed FOR her
she did the same for me during my recovery from my back to back car accidents
i am proud of my friend
she is a survivor and inspires me
marriage actually does look good on her when she glows
my tears become defiant
i smile with appreciation as i watch the newlyweds dance
