I Am Not My Scars

I am not my scars
I am not my past
I am not my anxiety
I am not a victim
I am not the product of men thoughts of me
I am not a mistake
I am not what you think of me
I am not what what you speak over my life
I am not my scars that made me the person I am today
I am not a quitter
I am not defeated
I am not a loser
I am not a lacker
I am not a slacker
I am not my scars
I am in charge of my life

This is a powerful message. We need to keep it in our thoughts always and believe in ourselves that we are stronger than what we appear to be (^_*)

Hi Patrice, I can relate to this poem so much. It's as though you read my mind again. I agree our scars don't define us although that made us into the person we have become. Your poems are so positive and encouraging. Well done:-) Alexis
