I Am Not a Magician

I love it when they carry them in kicking and screaming Plunk them down and then leave me alone with them I am not a candy bar I am not a piece of gum I am not a birthday cake I am not a magician Sometimes I get frustrated Because they think I can handle it Even if I can is it fair that I always have to?

You know, Caren, I can sympathize, BUT, sometimes the classroom teacher has just had it with a kid. It happens. And, they probably don't know what to do...short of slapping the kid (which of course should never be done!), so, off they go to the counselor's office. YOU, my friend, are their lifesaver, their jobsaver, their savior.

It is sadly the place they are parking a 9 year old who knows neither alphabet or numbers and wants only to play. We are not helping him!

Sounds like you are grand-parenting? Give them a paint brush, some paint and lots of paper~let them make some magic. :)Paulette

Hahaha Thanks for the suggestion. If you saw this child you would know why I would never give him a paint brush or paints.
