I Am No One

Sometimes it feels as though
All my dreams have fallen by the wayside
My writing, my singing
Everything I’ve ever hoped for
Seems to have been left behind
I so want to be a writer
I long for someone to hear my song
But no one is ever there

I’m just another lost soul
Passing through the stages of life
Full of hope
Desiring passion
Needing someone to take notice of me
To miss me when I’m gone
No one will ever know that I existed
No one will even care

When your hopes have disappeared
What does a person have left
The dreams that have kept you moving
Moving forward in life
Have now faded into the past
Without them you are nothing
Yet none of this really matters
Because… I am no one
