I Am Never Alone
I am depressed she said
Her face leaked
Chin quivering
I am lonely, I have no one
I cannot relate to her
I am never lonely
Never alone
Even in my dreams
My spirit guides raise me up
Shake me up
Roll me around
Tromp on me
Stomp on me
Quake me up
I feel their presence in times of mirth
And times of trouble, and toothpaste moments
I want to uplift her
She is determined to be down and depressed
She says she is forsaken
I cannot fathom this
Having no time to myself
Always followed by angels and spirit guides
I ask some to latch onto her
“She is too dour,” one says.
“I prefer you,” two others say.
