I Am Loved By God
When asked, "Are you blessed?"
My inner being asserts, I really am beyond such
indeed wondrously loved* by the Lord
Who redeemed my soul by His sacrifice
assuring me eternal life and heavenly abode
while He illumines my understanding
for diligent stewardship and reaching-out triumph...
imparting His pardon and peace so I can always move on!
When confronted with "How are you?"
My heart prayerfully exclaims, I am alright
propelled by God along His grace
that defines my very essence
guarding me with His watchful eye
as He strengthens my faith
toward faithful service in His entrusted ministry...
influencing my deeds to glow by His divine radiance!
When questioned, "Can you still go on?"
My spirit yearns to remain in God's perfect will
trusting His compassion since He cares for me
delighting in my victory wrought by His power
sanctifying me with His forgiveness as iniquities I confess
admitting my nothingness without Him-my Saviour
Who knows what is best...
instilling in my mind that I exalt His glory!
*Jeremiah 31:3 The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."
