I Am Just Like You

Meet me in the middle,
With an open mind,
Set aside differences,
We are the same kind...

Our skin is different in colour,
Our language different too,
But you're the same as me,
As I am human just like you...

We all have a journey,
Some cross paths along the way,
Who knows how long we're here for,
In the end none of us can stay...

The purpose of life is to live it,
Live in peace and not war,
Don't waste it away in hatred,
Its all part of universal law!

Yes, this poem is exquisite in its sentiment and I like the rhyme scheme you created in it.

Sage advice: 'Meet me in the middle.' ... Too few are willing to do this these days?! Season's best, Gershon
