I Am Just a Photograph

I am just a photograph
Hiding in your mind
Lying here in solitude
Waiting till you find
a little bit of memory
Of me, and you smile
I can't help but notice that
It has been a while

I feel blurred and aged
Not vibrant any more
It takes a lot of searching
To see me is a chore
You can't recall my features
As I slowly fade
Like a photo in the rain
Colors wash away

A negative impression
Etched upon your brain
Black and white traded off
hues that had remained
Just a smear of yesterday
No room in today
I am just a photograph
Starting to decay
