I Am In Your Care
I am in your care
I was a young lady, and respected too
I cared for my beautiful skin
I wore nice dresses and moved my hips, from side to side..
I sprinkled perfume over my fancy dresses
My hair pressed, curled, straighten, in anyway I liked!
I was once your age and I looked great too!
Today, I am in your care
I am smelling, and I know, I see your disgust
My hair, a mess and I know that’s a lot
My teeth, if any, brown and twisted
My skin is dry, no lotion, and I am exposed
I can’t do those things, I once did for myself
You tell your friends, what you see, of me
But, I am in your care
My family, smell good and lotion their skins
They're well dressed and look great
They smile and show those white, beautiful teeth
They are respected, because they can speak
Who is there, to care of me, or touch me?
But, I am in your care
I am in your care, so please treat me right
I am dying , as the days go by
I am ready to see, my Master
Please, take me Lord, I pray
I am hurting, to see how I am, and their despise
My dignity, my pride, my self respect, I can’t protect
Your touch, your smile, your face, maybe the last
Do you care, who I am?
But, I am in your care
