I Am In Virginia
I sit on the balcony
legs swinging, with a friend
hoping this summer
will never end
I feel the country breeze
on my face
Hearing many sounds,
that leave no trace
looking down on uncle Jim's farm
the fields are endless
the sun is so warm,
the fireflys twinkle
like stars, and swarm
the river runs wildly,
waterfall foams idly
dad fell on a slippery rock,
spashing by me..
The rain, pitter patters,
frogs on the pond, splatter
a drip, droppity song
