I Am In a Silly Dilly Dally Mood
I am in a Spring time silly dilly dally mood.
Loving my swaying green grass, and well-earned solitude.
I am a daffodil, and this is how we are made.
We love the sun, not thriving at all in the dark shade.
The thorns on the rose bush are truly upset with me.
They are angry and mean and ugly as they can be.
The marigolds are dancing underneath and around.
Readying themselves for their turn to push through, up ground.
I love being a sun flower, but I wish I could be the giant one.
The one with the large brown orb, who grows highest in the sun.
My mother always says do not wish your life away,
Just enjoy the minutes you have, each and every day.
I last but a few days, but I enjoy every second I have, no matter how long.
Never seeing the beautiful tea roses, as they do not sprout until after I am gone.
