I Am Gone

Here, I pull the glamour
From your eyes
Cold and dark like
Wrought iron & steel
Is the world

The ground is soaked
With fuel, around every
Corner dark or light is a beast
You can't run
You can't hide
You cannot conform
Everyone left in this world
Will burn

Not I
I will rise
From the ashes
Through the flames
Leaving behind
In my wake
Scorched embers

Left melting from
Your eyes
The glamour
From the morning sun
The evening stars
The lies that keep you
Caged
Are no longer
Safe

And I am gone.
