I Am From

I'm from the stars and stripes
and the red, white, and blue
I'm from the green lady in the ocean
Standing proud and tall
I'm from the high flying eagle
I'm from the Marines, The Army
The Navy, and The Air Force
I'm from country music and salsa dancing
I'm from cultures near and far

I'm from cotton and bulweevils
Dryness and flat
I'm from eindmills and bluebonnets
I'm from farms and ranches
I'm from Buddy Holly and Peggy Sue
From Raider Red, and the Masked Rider

I'm from one building
From one long hall where I've been my whole life
I'm from America, Lubbock and Christ the King
I'm from my life
