I Am Contented

We scream at the sky
Stars explode
Comets fall
We shout at ships
And they sink
We hold the club
The spear above
Our heads and think
We are invincible
We split the atom
And will one day
Destroy this planet
When I look at my wife
My sons, my grandchild
When I wake in the morning
Have a cup of tea
Have work to do
I am contented.
