I Am Bored With the Royals

                                      Gas prices are going sky high..
                     Yet the Prince is getting married and the Queen will cry..
                                  Our soldiers are fighting for some peace..
                          Yet the headlines read about the table centerpiece..
                         Tornados and destruction tear down the world today..
                         And again we are shown pictures of a wedding in May..
                           Homes being sold and the jobless rate sky rocket..
                           The story is a ring and carrots in a prince's pocket..
                              How distracted we get like with Monica and Bill..
                                   And not soon later the twin towers fell..
                     The wedding is a wonderful story but not for the front page..
                 We should be reading about the hero's and not a prince on a stage..

Carolyn Devonshire April 25, 2011 at 2:04 PM I have grown bored (and irritated) with Prince Charles and the queen, Michael. But in young William I see some of Diana's humanitarian values. Just watched a movie last night on how he met his bride to be. Diana was one of my idols. I do, however, understand the point you are making here.
