I Am Black and I Am Beautiful

I am black and I am beautiful
I know they like me not but I am meaningful

To why they like me not, I careless
For I know whatever reason may it be, it will be meaningless

I am black and I am colourful
So why do you make me that sorrowful

I am black why do you want me white?
You burnt and hurt me almost always
To what you apply on me I don’t know

I am best for my African weather
So why change me any further

I am black so leave me just black
Change me not for I will always come back
I will come back to my original black
