I Am Afraid In Progress

I am Afraid
To be alone
I reach out to you
But, I never touch you
Because I am afraid

I want you to know me
But, I don't let you in
You remember who I was
But, you don't know who I am
Because I am afraid
To let you see the darkness inside me

I long to be close to you
I am afraid to to live in slience
I am afraid for you to know me
But, it scares me that you don't
I am on the outside trying to imitate
What I see
