I Am a Woman

As a girl I learned many things but blinded myself too easily with the lies and deception of my peers.

I have been frowned upon I have been talked about I have been used for my kindness which was taken for weakness.

I have cried tears of a river screamed to the top of my lungs and raged out of anger.

As a woman my fight still continues, I have endured heartache, heartache,
devastating losses and storms that some couldn't bear.

I had to prove who I am what I stand for and what I allow to come into my space.

As a woman I have made mistakes, poor judgment and choices I wish to leave in the dust.

I know in order to grow I must fall on back in order to get back on track.
