I AM A SHOE TREE
I am a humble shoe tree,
Made of wood, of course,
Or I wouldn’t be called a tree.
My job is not a pleasant one,
Stuffed in the dark in a smelly shoe
For hours on end.
Sometimes I wish I was an oak tree,
Standing tall in the sweet, fresh air.
Helping the environment,
Instead of being stuck in here
