I Am a Rag Doll

I am a rag doll Pliable, and gullible. I believe you So tell me your truth and your lies. I will not discriminate Move me into places you want me to go. I am flexible, and there will be no argument I will listen to your tales, and believe wholeheartedly. There will be no laughter. I will attempt a smile. It may not happen You see someone else broke me. They pulled off a leg, and they punctured my eyes. I cannot see now, but I can feel. I will lie with you quietly, and if you could but rub my back I would believe you loved me and that would be enough Written July 16, 2019 Contest: Move Me Sponsor: Richard Lamoureux

This wonderful piece brought tears to my eyes Caren. I love how the simplicity of your words digs deep into the soul. This is magnificent! I'm putting it straight into my faves! I am so happy to see this on the winners list. Congratulations my friend! : ) xxoo

Thank you Connie. I have to tell you I was thinking to myself, "How broken can I be?" and this was it. And THEN I got shingles, so I guess I brought them on myself?

Thank you Jeanne. I wrote this one rapidly, and pretty much word for word the first time. I did not expect to win. But I am honored of course!

Thank you so much Richard. I am accepting this with a humbleness, but also a big grin. A silly big old grin!

Wow, that is heartbreakingly true of some people. I know I've been there. It is awful to be that broken and vulnerable that you will allow yourself to believe anything. Brilliant write...

I know but this is what happens when you fall in love with the wrong person. It always does.
