I Am a Monster
“I’m a monster”
“But a beautiful one” he said
This must be the first time someone has acknowledged me as i am
But with kindness
“I'm out of control at times”
“I like exciting” he replied
I've never had such words spoken before
“I’m so honest people don’t approach me though”
“Then i will have you to myself’ he states
Confused, I stare past his eyes, wondering…
“I’m outspoken and loud, people do not like that”
“I love the sound of your honesty” he chuckles
Now i stare at the brightest blue eyes I’ve seen
“I’m a humble person”
A smile fills his face, “i know” he replies warmly
I pull him close, i whisper, “im a loving person”
“Welcome back” he whispers
