I Am a Clown

love comes from above;
stickymess; i don't wanna
know how to grow by
watching you grow & grow.
i am a clown that comes
to town to make the
rounds on request. i'm
a nasty pest who needs
to see-- this is for
the best. prized for parts
& parts alone, the mind
lies still & silent as a
stone, rolling further
back with each
shifting bone.
returning at dawn,
sprawled out on the
lawn, unbeknownst
who's come & gone.
