I am a boy
I wonder if I could stay by her side
I hear her voice shake and crack
I see tears roll down her cheeks
I want to give her the biggest hug
I am a boy
I pretend that I never told her
I feel the guilt eat me alive
I touch the floor as I cry
I worry that I have ruined our friendship
I am a boy
I understand she doesn’t feel the same way
I say that it doesn’t bother me
I dream of her letting me cry in her arms
I try to respect her boundaries
I hope I haven’t burned this bridge
