I Am a Bee, You See
I am wrapped in stripes of day and night
A bit of bold sunshine and rings of black might!
I dart like a bullet and sting when I fight
Buzzing around I move in sunlight!
I am attracted to pretty little flowers
And I am sure I’d be no good on a planet called Mars!
I live on the earth and am busy as can be
Pollination is what I’m good at you see!
I live in a honeycomb and have an amazing view
My queen makes sure we have lots to do!
The nectar you add and hold to your lips
Is my signature portion that sweetens your sips!
We melt in a sea of sticky golden magic
And only attack when we feel threatened, how tragic!
