I Am

I am
I am the nice guy, I am the one who forgave you
But you were too busy to even notice,
I am the guy who took an imaginary apology
And told you to shove it, hypothetically.
For in my mind I had dealt with you
And in reality I am still the nice guy, your nice guy

I am the one who makes you laugh,
As I make the time for us to laugh at me, when we laugh
A part of me had hoped, you’d see beyond your labels
You’ve branded me with a red emotional permanent maker
For which I had given to you subconsciously
In the stupid hopes you wouldn’t use it

I am the lover who gave everything to you
However my everything was not exciting to you,
As my every thing was too safe and boring
But I guess it has its comforts , since you always come back
And the bitter taste of your wounds are beginning to taste sweet
Because I am, I am the nice guy
