I Am

I am a fish swimming under the sea I am whatever you want me to be My heart beats stronger than a gong But where do I really belong? I am flying like a dove I am hoping to find true love The piece of love I’ve been longing to see Is true love really for me? Sometimes I am a poet Sometimes I am the poem Come and see what’s inside of me I’ll tell you what I am I am the laughter you hear I am the pain you fear Your heart wouldn’t believe But it’s what your senses perceive I am the weary soul That cries with you at might I am the happy mind That helps you when you’re blind.
