I Am

It's a spiritual awakening
Religious bonds are breaking
God's working on a new design.
And yet you see me shaking
My inner self is quaking
These ideas are not mine.

My life is revamping
Jesus is stamping
His mark on my soul.
My attitude's changing
Thoughts rearranging
I'm being made whole.

All the degradation
Brought on by dep'ration
Can stay in the past.
My love for my Saviour
In full Christian flavour
He found me at last.

I like this deep and dark poem! Loneliness truly is a great topic for poetry. My regards, VS!
