I Always Thought

i always thought being true was being happy
but i guess i thought wrong
i always thought when i was i love the other
person would love me back
but i guess i thought wrong
i always thought being a friend meant
happiness for both 
but i guess i thought wrong
i always thought i would find the perfect
person that wouldn't hurt me 
but i guess i thought wrong
i always thought love was wonderful 
but i guess i thought wrong
i always thought being real meant it was a
complete deal
but i guess i thought wrong
