I Always Loved You

If you ask how long I’ve loved you
Permit me to tell you and I will.
I’ve loved you from the first moment
I saw you and yes I always will.
To be by your side and face
 Whatever life’s trials would be,
But those were only foolish dreams
 That now can never be.
You see fate had taken away my dream, my soul and happiness,
Replacing it now with a lifetime of loneness.
But in the quite moments I have those sweet memories
 I shared with you,
And know that you know
I always loved you and still do
