I Admit

So I sat back {for once} denouncing another day

Occupied composing the profound things I would say

Whilst waiting patiently for emotion to go away

Once again uninvited & the cause of the delay

Truth is I’m tongue tied and speechless even silent

Suddenly aware of how words too can be violent

A casual comment the cause of this very coincident

Leaves me vulnerable honest exposed openly reticent

So simply look me in the eye " it’s all that this will take

if you own up and admit it " I will - it wasn’t all fake

we both can however agree " it was a momentous mistake

one that rules as reminder to remember not to remake..

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Have a blessed New Year.
