I Accept the Truth

I’ve accepted us being over,
I know we are no longer in love,
That it would only shatter,
And can never be fixed.
I’m willing to accept that fate,
Even though it may hurt,
And I may have small thoughts,
That we might find each other again,
And love will return.
It will never happen,
Not between us,
I will not relive that pain,
Of losing you,
And the heartbreak.
For now, it’s over;
There’s nothing left for us,
Our love was a lie,
And I will gladly accept that truth…
