I

Stand beside the flame
Stars cascade like sprinkled salt
Over a sleepy town

A dove cries out
For a lover lost
To a hollow heart

Memories fade
Over the tapestry of time
Eventually folded over

Fan the flames
So dawn will never rise
For a sleepy town
