I’ve known him, his heart
Since I was just a child –
Roller skating, listening to music
Playing and dreaming, echoing
hope in the glistening whispers
teenage miracles – mysteries
lifting the spirit with winds, leaves
Snowflake wishes in tempting
Breezes, memories blending to
Relieve and breathe… intimate pieces
Gentle feelings and tender kisses
Stirring up grace and peace,
Filling the moments with inspiration
He is the first kiss, the bliss
Reaching past my insecurities
Mending the uncertainty with faith,
Pouring grace, like dewdrops –
Shimmering, glistening with praise
Into the sauna of my life,
In dreams so big they embrace
My spirit, coloring my heart vibrant
Hues of music, dancing in plain
View, erasing the darkness
With creativity and insight, beauty
Beckoning through the flames
Burning away the trembling aches
Roaring through the thunder,
Inviting my heart to wonder…
He is my finest hour, my prayer
Answered by One who knows my thoughts
Gives me the truth on a platter
Where answers are His way of saying
I’ve given you what you asked for…
Your blessing is this man who you call
Husband, friend – and with him…
You can find a way to accept the pain
A way to realize the miracle, to have faith
And to be the person who God intended
You to be – the person who breathes
Loves unconditionally!
