Hurt
I once wished for immortality
And everlasting vitality
I dreamed of thrones of gold
If truth be told
I just wanted to feel free
Knowing no casket could hold me
I wanted to race time
As if it weren't a crime
But my throne is a liar's chair
Full of broken promises and despair
The poison has rotted my mind
And I regret it but I do find
Watching them all slowly die
Has me wondering why
I once wished for immortality
And everlasting vitality
