Hurricane

Batten down hatches as hurricane season is with us once again. The alphabet will roll out names like Katrina fraught with memories even for west coast voyeurs in awe of weather we never have felt.

I really love the third stanza in that other places are more affected now than ever before. I was born raised and currently live in Louisiana so I can definitely relate to this one.

Sue, you ain't lying about those names..it's like a generator each years spits em out one after another...I feel really bad about those who have been thru hurricanes....I find myself glued to the weather channel...We have never been faced with hurricanes here in California but we have faced endless fires and earthquakes...All of it is scary. Just means more praying because these seasons are changing and you don't know what to expect..Just get closer to God..Great presentation. God Bless, Tyesha

My, am glad we don't have to battle nature so much over in UK, our gale force winds are enough to set worry here!! Strange how even a hurricane becomes a face with a name when it comes back down to the memories...love how you capture this with your write! Well done and fingers crossed for those who are preparing to face them once more! Love and prayers to you all, Anna-Marie.
