Hurricane

You are the hurricane that has taken so much from my life.
I got caught in the eye of your storm
Watching defenselessly as you
Uprooted my dream,
		Washed away my foundation,
Forced down the walls of progress I built,
										And flooded my soul.
										Once I recovered,
Building new safeguards and a secure surrounding,
		Pouring a new foundation,
Planting new dreams,
You tear back through my life
Again
Leaving more destruction and desolation in your wake.
