Hunger Pains
These hunger pains are trying to kill me.
I digested happiness long ago,
However, that substance did not fill me,
Lining my disappointments in a row.
Loneliness, an unsatisfying snack,
Burns the heart, therefore adding to the pain.
Acid reflux pushing words of hope back,
Regurgitated with nothing to gain.
Whenever I try to take a deep breath,
The air escapes through the hole in my gut.
Thus, proving that if I try to beat death,
I will never succeed no matter what.
This is the condition that I live in,
Forced to consume what I have been given.
