Hunger

Every time you hit me
How you left me so hungry
Every time you punched me
Any idea how you much I starved?
Every time you kicked me over and over again
Do you have any idea how much more hungry I was?
As you knocked me into the following day
All I could do is beg for lunch

And as I lay black and blue before your feet
From my mouth my hunger slowly seeping
Because despite all you've done to me
So many times repeated
I despise every bite I take
As I feast on the love that kills me
