Hunger

The wind shifts the trees,
I look up to explore,
The ruffles make me shiver,
summer no more.
Warm within my sweater,
pondering cold days past,
when it was my enemy,
I can't shake the cold.
The pain of a frozen life,
numb feet wandering about,
hunger engulfing everything.
Starving for normality,
searching for humanity...
so much hunger.
