HUNGER From out of this world comes a hell we call life They call life a gift from God above, but what about me What about the love in my stone cold heart Laying dormant now for years In legend sleeping beauty dies Only to be awakened by the kiss of love In her place now I lay on pyre Awaiting love as spiritual fire To bring me new life after emotional death Riding into sunsets long shadows fall behind you Happily ever after only happens In the tales we read, in the dreams we weave What matters most is not our happiness But those things so immaterial A simple man making futile attempts at reason Finding excuses for his actions But all he asks is satisfaction For the hungers in his heart…
