So well penned, Thomas. Your concluding line is a zinger - poetic power at its best. Hummingbird flight conveyed to a T. Be well. Brian

Hello, Brian. Thank you for your praise. I remember watching the hummingbirds of my childhood as they hovered close to the holly trees and picked over the berries. Be well, always. - Thomas :-)

Hello Tom Wells, you are lucky to have these birds. The berries from the Holly tree must be their favourite food. Enjoy your day my friend.

Hi Darlene, Yes they have remarkable abilities. I remember as child how they would glide around next to our Holly Trees and pick at the red berries. Stay happy and safe!
