Hay Fa Poet Free verse

Humans

So calm so smart 
So cruel we drifted apart
Never throw away a worth
He said to me..
"what are we but characters in a made up world"

We're humans 
Always worried about something
Always running away from something
We fall
We get back up
We're strong like that
For we WANT to be up there
We're humans
We get hurt
We regret
We make mistakes
We mess up every once in a while
But for me.. its a matter of time

We're not as small as the world makes us seem

Yes we love attention ......dont we
Always aiming for something
Even in our daily lives
The simplest things

Somehow we own eachothers feelings
I can control yours
And you you and you can control mine somehow
We want to be happy
But still working on it in the wierdest ways
We're humans
We get distracted
We cry over movies
We mess ourselves up thinking a cigarette will let it all out for us!
We try to learn
But do we really care about maths wen all we think about is "how he broke my heart or how she lied to me"?
We've all lost somthing that once was ours
But do we have to follow what they expect of us
We're as complicated as we can be
And as simple as god has created us

Just like i said
We do turn around 
But always afraid to look ahead
Thinking about where we went wrong
Thinking about everything we said
We never stop wondering 
We're humans
