HUMANS

We build and break with our own hands
dream of light but live in dark
we talk of peace with heavy tongues
and call our chaos, art.

We curse the fire yet strike the flint
we want for love but fear its weight
our hearts are wild, our minds unsure
we drown in what we’ve made.

Still deep inside our tired bones
the truth is hard but clear to name
the world was never really lost
it’s us who need to change.
